I Am Very Confused

Posted on

I am very confused. Why does it seems that now all of sudden everything that is wrong economically is blamed on Obama. All of sudden what GW Bush and his republican accomplices have screwed up for 8 years becomes now Obama’s fault.

How come Republicans know now how to fix everything? Where have they been for 8 years?

Did anybody actually think that his mess we are in that was created over 8 years can be fixed overnight. One presidency term may not even be enough. It may take 2.

Remember where the economy and Wall Street was on the last day of GW Bush’s presidency and look where it is now. I’d say we have improved. Maybe not as much as some have hoped but give it a chance. Stock market is up, unemployment is slightly down.

Why do so may people say that Obama tries to impose socialism on us. I think I can say safely that 99% of the people that make these comments don’t even know what socialism actually is.  Some even claim that for instance Germany is a socialist country.  Germany is the country with the highest savings rate per capita, most of the German people are better of financially than the average US resident. Where the US has the lowest savings per capita of any industrialized country. People in the US are comparably a lot of worse of than in any other industrialized country. German workers have between 4 and 6 weeks of vacation and are one of the most productive if not even the most productive nation in the western world. Germany and France have one of the best public health care systems in the world.  If this is socialism to you (which by the way it isn’t) wouldn’t you want to live in a state like this.

!! And By  The Way !!! before anybody screams once more “Socialism” please read up on it what it stands for:

Socialism is an economic and political theory based on public or common ownership and cooperative management of the means of production and allocation of resources. (Wikipedia)
