Boiled-Frog-Syndrome (BFS)

Posted on

An old folk tale tells the story of a frog that hops out immediately when thrown into boiling water. However, when placed in a pot of cold water that is then heated gradually, the frog fails to notice the rising temperature and eventually cooks to death.

  • Could it be that the “Boiled-Frog-Syndrome” has gotten us into this mess the world is currently in?
  • Did we become to comfortable and acclimated to our ways of living that we took it for given and did not realize the consequences and the turmoil it was getting us into?
  • Do we get to easily comfortable with certain situations?

We should become more aware of our current situation and re-evaluate where we are, how we got there, whether we should stay put or move on to something else.

Staying where we are is usually the easy and comfortable choice at least for the short term, but in the long run it may get us into hot water and lead to a point of no return.

I would like to use this forum/blog for an open discussion. Feel free to openly speak your mind.
